Mezzanine Floor Protection
The FIREFLY® FB180 Ablative Batt provides a fire rated, non-loadbearing ceiling solution for installation beneath mezzanine floors, floor systems, roof structures and similar constructions. The system has been tested in accordance with BS EN 1364-2 and classified to EN 13501-2, achieving up to EI90 / E90 fire resistance.

CONSTRUCTION
Layers of mineral wool are combined to create a 60mm thick board product, with an ablative coating factory-applied to both sides. The board has a density of 180kg/m3, with a rigidity that makes it suitable for friction fitting.

APPLICATION

PACKAGING
FB180 60mm. Supplied bagged to provide protection in transit and on site. Do not allow the batt to be exposed to rain or prolonged wet conditions.

Storage: cool, dry place – protect from frost
While the height of the building made this a logistically challenging job, we were able to specify standard FIREFLY® details to achieve compliance. In addition to the FB180 Batt floor system, there was a requirement to install one of the 600 x 900mm FIREFLY® Access Panels FR120 to provide entry off the mezzanine level. Crucially, Firefly have undertaken testing of the various products we employed as an integrated system.
