Single-Side FB180 60mm Batt

When access to both sides of a wall or floor is limited, traditional firestopping can be challenging. FIREFLY® introduces a tested, trusted solution: Single-side installation of our FB180 Ablative Batt – fast, efficient, and fully compliant.

Tested as part of the FIREFLY® system, to work with additional fire stopping components such as FIREFLY® FR Intumescent Acrylic Sealant, FIREFLY® Fire Collars, FIREFLY® FR Graphite High Expansion Sealant, FIREFLY® Penowrap and FIREFLY® Roof Cavity Closers.

This one-sided solution is ideal for where compartmentation between rooms and corridors is critical to fire safety and access is restricted. The one-sided installation method is specifically engineered and tested to address these challenges

APPLICATION
Batt is cut to size to friction-fit between timber (min. 90 x 38mm C16 softwood) that must additionally be treated with FIREFLY® Ablative Coating to maintain the fire rating of the batt – EI60:E90. Can also be friction-fit directly into flexible and block walls.

CONSTRUCTION
Layers of mineral wool are combined to create a 60mm thick board product, with an ablative coating factory-applied to both sides. The board has a density of 180kg/m3, with a rigidity that makes it suitable for friction fitting
