At a recent visit from the ASFP, TBA General Manager David Murray and Technical Director Karthick KG discussed Firefly’s comprehensive range of fire protection products.
Founded in 1975, the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) is the UK’s leading trade association dedicated to the advancement of passive fire protection. TBA Firefly are proud, long-standing members, supporters and sponsors of the ASFP and many of their initiatives they provide to help raise standards and competence through comprehensive training, rigorous testing, certification, and ensuring quality installation and maintenance practices.
¨You can watch the full video on our website (www.tbafirefly.com/about) Among the solutions highlighted were Firefly’s innovative 60mm FB180 Batt system, designed for rapid installation in challenging and restricted spaces while providing a minimum of up to 30 minutes’ integrity and insulation performance. For projects requiring enhanced fire resistance, particularly timber-frame applications, the FB180 Batt System can deliver up to 90 minutes’ integrity and up to 60 minutes’ insulation.
The discussion also explored the importance of competency, installer training and industry standards, with Firefly providing nationwide training resources and encouraging membership of recognised trade bodies.
Nadine Saxon, ASFP Director of Operation, said: “It was a real pleasure to visit TBA Firefly and spend time with David and Karthick, who gave us a great insight into the Firefly range and the thinking behind their products. It’s always valuable to see that level of expertise and innovation up close, and to have open conversations around competency, training and raising standards across the sector. As a long-standing and committed ASFP member, TBA Firefly continues to play an important role in driving quality and best practice, and we’re really pleased to be able to showcase their work through our ‘Meet the Members’ series.”
A huge thanks to Reece Goodman, Membership Engagement & PR Officer, Managing Director Mike Ward and Director of Operations Nadine Saxon who took time out to visit, meet the TBA team and provide the film footage you can see here.
